  Description
Critical for visual Color QC applications, the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test is ideally suited for personnel working with or approving color such as artist, designers, engineers, technicians, production, manufacturing and marketing personnel. Before your customers can see color quality, you must be able to see and judge it first.

The Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test examines hue discrimination ability often used in vocational and diagnostic applications. The test has proven to provide reliable color vision evaluation results which can be applied to many occupational and psychological situations. The Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue test remains the most comprehensive color vision test on the market. As the original manufacturer, Munsell certify the accuracty of every test.

This quick, easy, and precise test is designed to determine color vision anomalies and detailed color discrimination. In addition to congenital color deficiency screening, there is growing evidence that adult acquired color deficiency, especially in yellow and blue perception, can indicate medicinal toxicity and other problems. Increasingly complex security and medical systems also require verification of normal color perception in the three types of color receptors.

Under simulated daylight conditions, each box is opened separately, and the discs are spread out on a table randomly. The subject is then asked using the stable pilot discs for reference, to align the 85 color disks in order of a color scale (hue) order. This test provides a good indication of an individual's accuracy in judging small differences in color. Hue discrimination ability is estimated from the total error score and the type of color deficiency is determined from a graphical representation of the results. Characteristic 100 Hue plots for congenital protan, deutan and tritan defects show concentrations of errors in well defined positions nearly opposite in the polar diagram representing the circle of hues. Color vision anomalies and color aptitude are detected by the ability of tester to place color caps in hue order.

Consists of four 20" x 1.75" x 1.25" trays, housed in a 21.5" x 6.12" x 2.5" carrying case. Color reference size is 7/16" diameter. Each chip is numbered in order to facilitate scoring. This test includes WindowsÒ based scoring software which calculates a numerical score and provides a graphical display and print of the subject's score and certification.
